[2022] Upcoming Manufacturing, Industrial, and Warehouse Projects in Ohio 

Planned manufacturing, industrial, and warehouse projects are popping up all over the state of Ohio.

Of course, the anticipated construction sites are concentrated around urban centers like Columbus, Dayton, and Akron. Take a closer look at the planned projects, and you will see that some big names stand out.

Among the upcoming projects are planned facilities for both Amazon and Peloton, which are looking to build a delivery station and a factory, respectively. The Peloton factory is the first of its kind in the United States.

This list is based on planned manufacturing, industrial, and warehouse construction projects in Ohio, per a query of BuildCentral’s ConstructionWire for projects with updates between 9/1/21 and 9/30/21. 

Peloton Factory 

A Peloton Factory is set to be built in Troy Township, Ohio. With ground already having been broken on this project, construction at the site is expected to begin later in 2021. Peloton has released a statement saying that it expects the facility to start operations in 2023.

Bezos is coming to town! Of course, Amazon’s been virtually everywhere for a while now, but it looks as though the mega-company has plans to construct a new delivery station in Akron. According to an update from BuildCentral, representatives from Amazon have discussed this project’s plans with the Springfield Township Zoning Commission.

Both the Peloton and Amazon projects hint at an expanded Midwestern presence for the two companies, and in Peloton’s case, the plans for a factory represent the company’s first U.S.-based production center.
