Pittsford New York YMCA to break ground in early 2018

A new YMCA facility in Pittsford, New York, will be starting construction in early 2018. The 140,000 state-of-the-art building will have classrooms, a senior center, and art rooms.

Rochester’s WHAM reports:

The YMCA is still raising money for the project. They are about two thirds of the way to their 15-million-dollar goal.

The new location will have 675 parking spots. On the inside it includes everything from pre-school classrooms to a senior center and exercise areas and art rooms.

“The whole package for the entire family, we’re not going to have to compromise. A lot of our space is going to be multi-purpose,” said Romell.

Construction of the building is expected to start in the spring. The new YMCA should open in the fall of 2019.
